On FEMA involvement..
There has been much speculation on whether or not FEMA will become involved in the disaster relief. At the present moment it is still unknown if FEMA will come. FEMA has assessed our area and have returned the information to Washington. No declaration has been signed at this point.

A crew started on Janssen St doing clean up. Fire Chief John Puckett also stressed to leaders the importance of getting Janssen Park cleaned up and accessible to our community's children.

Per City Council- All contractors working on building structures, roofing, tree removal and demolition must provide $1 Million in liability insurance. This is very important and is only to protect the citizens of Polk County. This liability insurance is not required for smaller jobs such as painting and carpet cleaning. These guidelines will be re-visited in 90 days.

The First National Bank and the Union Bank are sponsoring a Beef Brisket Dinner this Thursday, April 23rd at the First Baptist Church, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.......for those who had damage done by the tornado, and for all volunteers who assisted and are assisting in the clean up efforts.
